July AchievementsOn 18-Jun-2007 a Working Party installed a new Wooden Pedestrian Gate on walk 17A replacing the second of the stiles on the path going through the garden on The Laurels just east of Coventry Road, Fillongley. The also installed a new Metal Pedestrian Gate on the main 40-mile path where the path leaves the Fish Ponds in Square Lane to cross the field towards Red Hill Farm. A seat was also installed near the Metal Pedestrian Gate.
On Monday 30-Jul, two of us returned to add catches to the two pedestrian gates at The Laurels, and install a seat near the western entry to Red Hill Farm wood.

The first stile above is the one originally planned for 15-Oct-2006, which at last can now be completed, making walk 21 stile-free (As well as walk 21A). Our plans for future working parties are to continue to place some effort in improving the remaining difficulties on the 40-mile walk and other circular walks, but to give more priority to creating further stile-free short (3 to 5 mile) circular walks. Work on CWCW 17A started in February, and will take most of 2007. Dates for rest of 2007 mostly on the third Wednesday in each month from Jan-Nov. The expected dates are:
