The second k/g is located at the far side of the first field to the north (GR 365 710), and although in fair condition and easy to climb was nearly due for replacement. The next two k/g heading north are both in poor condition and are planned for replacement in June.
We only had a team of 4½ (one on light duties with a hurt back!) but weather dry & sunny all morning and digging easier than usual so were finished till 1:00pm. We then went for lunch at the Malt Shovel, Bubbenhall, arriving in sunshine but leaving with the arrival of the first heavy shower on cue as forecast. We will return next month.

Dates for the rest of 2009 will be mostly on
the third Wednesday in each month from Jan-Nov, with work expected
to be in Warwickshire.
We are also planning three extra dates for work in Solihull, carrying out tasks on
the Benton Green to Carol Green improvement project. Details to follow soon.
